Project History
Wilmington, Delaware is a booming financial center.
Wilmington is also home and regional headquarters to
Wilmington Trust. This project was to repair deteriorating
surfaces of the employee-parking garage at Wilmington
Trust. The project involved multiple areas of patching
including overhead surfaces, horizontal decks and
vertical column surfaces. Conproco ECB was chosen to
pre-treat the reinforcing steel as it allowed the repair job
to proceed quickly and easily. The contractor, Shared
Systems Technology, chose to use Conpro Set for the
patching repairs because it could be applied on every
surface and shaved to match the existing profile.
Once the repairs were completed, Conpro Shield W
was applied using high-volume, low-pressure sprayers
to protect the concrete decks from chloride ion penetration,
a common problem in parking garage surfaces.
